One of the joys of producing Milk Bottle Of The Week has been receiving
contributions from our numerous patrons. Many have sent in their thoughts
and feelings about milk bottles. Here are a few.

BIG
BROTHER GETS BOTTLED
In
the summer of 2001 the UK's Channel 4 TV ran a second
series of the hit programme Big Brother. A group of
contestants moved in to a specially constructed house
in East London where TV cameras captured their every
movement, 24 hours a day.
The UK
Dairy Council managed a fine piece of product placement
by delivering several customised milk bottles to the
Big Brother kitchen. Each featured their current advertising
slogan 'The white stuff- are you made of it?'. Many
thanks to them for providing the images.
MELTING
MILK BOTTLES
Biggles
made these (left) 'to amuse, or bemuse my milk man during
a particulary hot summer.' Find out more about his milk
bottle melter at
his web site.
KATE'S
DREAM OF MILK BOTTLES
She
texted the following message to us in February-
'Last night I dreamt that gates had been built at the
top of my road. The side supports were house high milk
bottles and the top was a design of milk bottle shapes.
Between the gates were bollards to stop cars. They were
milk bottle shaped, filled with white liquid. All my neighbours
were in the street, looking on and when I saw it I was
shouting excitedly that it just showed how important milk
bottles were becoming and Mr. Milk would be so happy.'
